The Battle of Tannenberg
It was a devastating day. We have been completely and utterly defeated. We entered this battle with such high hopes but we are demoralized by the fall of many товарищи (comrades). The Germans outmanuevered us with there extensive railroad network using it to фланг (flank) and surround us, all i know is that one second we are running at the Germans and slowly but surely winning, then they were everywhere Germans swarming us coming from our flanks and behind us and soon we were in full отступление (retreat). I am one of the only lucky ones to survive, They may have won the battle but we will win the war, just you wait our General Rennenkampf will lead us to victory. We count our loses at somewhere around 50,000 dead and over 90,000 captured but we are regrouping and will not rest until our Slavic brethren our освободили (freed) and more importantley avenged!!!
